Image server for the space wars game

The easy way first: turn on peer-to-peer sharing and the app fetches this game’s images from other players, verified against its catalog. An image server is for a collection of your own.

Settings → the game’s section → Image server, or the general Image server with the game’s images under <server>/swccg/.

A card’s image is <server>/<set>/<card>.png; the back face of a two-sided card is <server>/<set>/<card>-back.png; the card backs are <server>/back-dark.png and <server>/back-light.png:

<set> is the set’s short code: p (premiere), anh, h, dag, cc, jp, se, edr, ds2, tat, cor, 3a, rlp, jpsd, ref2, ref3, ecc, epp, esb2p, otsd, p2p.

<card> is the card’s title in lowercase with underscores, uniqueness marks and apostrophes dropped and & as and. When both sides have a card of that title, the side is appended (tatooine_cantina_dark); when a later set reprints a title on the same side, the set is appended (boba_fett_se).

The catalogued images are PNGs at their source sizes; any size works, as does WebP or JPEG whatever the extension.

The app’s repository has scripts/swccg/images.py, which gathers scans from the community archives into this layout, highest resolution first. The rights to the scans are the publisher’s; the script only renames.

299 images: the starter and duel decks the game plays, both faces of the two-sided cards, and the two backs.
