Saved games and replays
Saved games
Section titled “Saved games”A local or hotseat game is saved as it goes, and Continue a game on the New game screen lists what can be resumed, newest first, with when it was last played. Resume picks it up at the next decision; Delete forgets it. A game that ended stays in the list as a record until you delete it.
A save is the game’s whole record: its setup, its seed and every answer given, so it is small and exact. Loading it replays the game from the start, which is also what the app does to check that a save is intact.
Saved games live in your platform’s application-data folder under
papermagicboomer/broccolideck/<game>/, where <game> is the game’s short name (scr, evdd,
soi, stccg, swccg). Decks are beside them for the games that have decks.
LAN games
Section titled “LAN games”A LAN game is saved by its host. If the host’s app is closed mid-game, starting it again offers to resume the room as it was hosted: the same seats, the same codes.
Online games
Section titled “Online games”Online games are kept by the service while they run and for a while after they end (Online play). The ones you keep as replays (as many as your tier allows) can be opened from the online pane and stepped through move by move.
